Getting Started - Setup Live Chat Widget

Add a live chat widget to your website so visitors can reach you instantly. Live chat increases engagement, captures leads in real-time, and gives you a direct line to potential customers while they're actively browsing your site.

Create a Chat Widget

Navigate to Sites > Chat Widget in the main menu.

Click + Create Chat Widget.

Name your widget (e.g., 'Website Chat', 'Sales Chat').

Customize the appearance: choose colors, position (bottom-left or bottom-right), welcome message, and avatar.

Set up the pre-chat form to collect visitor information (name, email, phone) before the conversation starts.

Click Save.

Install the Widget on Your Website

After creating the widget, copy the embed code provided.

Paste the code into your website's HTML — typically just before the closing </body> tag.

If your site is built with Revo Digital's website/funnel builder, the chat widget can be enabled directly from the page settings without any code.

The widget will appear on every page where the code is installed.

Test the widget by visiting your website in an incognito/private browser window to see exactly what your visitors experience.

Manage Chat Conversations

When a visitor starts a chat, the conversation appears in your Conversations tab in real-time.

Reply directly from the Conversations tab — your response appears instantly in the visitor's chat widget.

If the visitor provided their email or phone, a contact record is automatically created.

You can continue the conversation via SMS or email even after the visitor leaves your website.

Configure Chat Notifications

Navigate to Settings > Notifications to configure how you're alerted about new chat messages.

Enable browser notifications, email notifications, or mobile push notifications.

Set up auto-responses for when you're offline (e.g., 'Thanks for reaching out! We'll get back to you within 1 hour.').
