Getting Started - Launch an SMS Campaign

SMS campaigns deliver your message directly to your audience's pocket. With open rates above 90%, text messages are one of the most effective ways to drive immediate action — whether it's a flash sale, appointment reminder, or event invitation.

Prerequisites

Before launching an SMS campaign, make sure you have:

A phone number set up in Settings > Phone System (see the Setup Email, Phone, and SMS guide).

Contacts with valid phone numbers in your contact list.

Compliance with messaging regulations — ensure you have consent to text your contacts.

Create an SMS Campaign

Navigate to Marketing > Campaigns in the main menu.

Click + Create Campaign and select SMS as the campaign type.

Name your campaign for easy reference.

Select your audience — choose a contact list, tag, or smart list filter.

Compose your message. Use personalization tokens like {{contact.first_name}} to make it personal.

Add a clear call-to-action (reply, click a link, call back).

Schedule and Send

Choose your delivery method:

Send Now — delivers immediately to all selected contacts.

Schedule — pick a specific date and time for delivery.

Drip Mode — sends in batches over time for better deliverability and pacing.

Review your campaign details and click Send or Schedule.

Best times to send SMS campaigns are typically Tuesday–Thursday between 10am–12pm or 2pm–4pm in your audience's time zone. Avoid early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

Track Campaign Performance

After sending, monitor your campaign in Marketing > Campaigns.

View metrics like: Delivered, Failed, Replied, and Opted Out.

Use these insights to refine your messaging and targeting for future campaigns.

Check the Bulk Actions dashboard for detailed delivery reports.
